ORLT Conservation Easement Drone Footage!

Writer's picture: steffney6steffney6

Oconee River Land Trust recently had the pleasure of working with volunteer drone operator Jason Hedrick to film two of their easements. His drone footage provides a unique vantage point on the important habitats and beautiful landscapes that Oconee River Land Trust protects.

On a property in Oglethorpe County, Jason filmed an abandoned rock quarry, a beaver wetland, and rocky shoals buffered by the easement. On a different property, in Newton County, he captured a healthy granite outcrop with lots of pale green lichen and patches of yellow primrose flowers around the edges.

Take a look below and enjoy!
