About ORLT

The Oconee River Land Trust is a non-profit organization headquartered in Athens, Georgia, that partners with landowners to conserve natural forests and working lands along Georgia’s rivers, streams and wetlands. ORLT works with both private landowners and public entities to protect land. Since 1993, ORLT has worked with public and private landowners to protect 32,000 acres of land.

Saturday, May 11th: Join ORLT and the Georgia River Network for a paddle trip to benefit river and drinking water preservation in Georgia! This paddle trip takes place on the Apalachee River and involves 3 hours of paddling, followed by a relaxed afternoon of hors d'oeuvres from Donderos' Kitchen, craft beer from Southern Brewing Co., and live music. Saturday, May 25th: Join us and the Ocmulgee Audobon Society in Macon for a morning bird walk along the Ocmulgee River to see plenty of beautiful songbirds and waterfowl. 10:00am - 11:30am.
