About ORLT

The Oconee River Land Trust is a non-profit organization headquartered in Athens, Georgia, that partners with landowners to conserve natural forests and working lands along Georgia’s rivers, streams and wetlands. ORLT works with both private landowners and public entities to protect land. Since 1993, ORLT has worked with public and private landowners to protect 32,000 acres of land.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, February 2nd: Come support Georgia Wetlands at ORLT's Hike and Happy Hour! We'll walk for about an hour on one of our Athens easements, ending with a local craft brew for of-age hikers. 575 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA. 2:00 - 4:30pm.
Saturday, February 9th: Invasive plant removal and trash pickup at Tallassee Forest. 10:00am - 12:00pm.
